Share Bond will be one of their speakers at three different classes. Her biography can be viewed here. Her class schedule is as follows: 7/21/2007, 1:31 PM: Relating to Urban Wildlife (dealing with rodents, feral cats, deer, skunks, squirrels, and other urban so-called nuisance wildlife) Share Bond (President of S.K.U.N.K.S. and Protect R Wildlife) will discuss how to coexist with so-called nuisance wildlife, primarily the skunk, humane solutions and alternatives to trapping, her new TNR+ program, and her successful 6-day feral cat/wildlife impact study that she conducted in Sacramento. There will be a five-minute Q&A session. She will have hand-outs on coexisting with skunks and other nuisance wildlife, the TNR+ program, and an educational board with pictures from the "study". 7/21/2007, 3:31 PM: Abusing Our Cousins (abuse and trade of primates for food, research, amusement and the pet trade) Share Bond (President of Protect R Wildlife and S.K.U.N.K.S.) will discuss how her research work in Borneo helping to rehabilitate baby orangutans back to the wild inspired her wildlife work in her own backyard. She studied primatology to get prepared for that work for the Orangutan Foundation Int'l. She saw what it's like to deal with illegal poaching by the Taiwanese. Also her first job (in the 60's) was for a company that handled government contracts where they did research with primates, and how they dupe employees into believing it is for the "good of man". There will be a five-minute Q&A session. She will have hand-outs on orangutans from the Orangutan Foundation and pictures from her trip to Borneo. 7/22/2007, 1:31 PM: History of Activist Repression (repression of labor union, suffrage, civil rights, anti-war, and animal activism) Share Bond (Author and President of S.K.U.N.K.S., and Protect R Wildlife) will discuss her latest book, "An Earth Divided: Crucified For Caring" which covers the topic of this discussion. The book reveals the truth about the imbalance in the world where those that are cruel to animals and exploit the environment get off easy and those that fight to protect the Earth and her inhabitants are crucified. She will be discussing how animal and environmental activists are persecuted and how their civil rights are threatened. There is a conflict between those who possess the will and means to exploit the living world to destruction and those who are banding together in a desperate, last ditch attempt to prevent the trashing of our Mother Earth. There will be a five-minute Q&A session. She will have hand-outs on her book, and have books available for signing. Share will also have a sale booth at the conference on 7/20-22 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day and will be available for book signings at announced times. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
