About the Author
Share Bond has been involved in animal rescue for 35 years, and animal rights and environmental advocacy since the 1960’s. Most of her education and training is animal related, and she has gained much experience from volunteer work for other groups such as The Orangutan Foundation, Intl. (where she studied the orangutan in Borneo with Birute Galdikas); The Ark Trust (now HSUS-Hollywood, helping with the annual Genesis Awards, a huge celebrity black-tie gala that awards those that generate positive messages about animals in the media); The American Cetacean Society (tour guide taking the public out whale watching off the California coast); and Wildlife Waystation (orphan care, primate enrichment, tour guide, fundraising, outreach programs).
Share then started her own organizations - S.K.U.N.K.S. (Society of Kind Understanding and Not Killing Skunks); Protect R Wildlife (a wildlife advocacy group); C.A.R.E.S. (California Animal Rescue); and programs like Neighborhood Watch 4 Animals, Wildlife Shui, and TNR+. She also lead a campaign against eBay for allowing animal atrocities on their auction.

"It is not just that animals make the world more scenic or picturesque. The lives of animals are woven into our very being, closer than our own breathing, and our souls will suffer when they are gone." Gary Kowalski, Author of The Souls of Animals ~~~~~ |
